Temple & Family History Newsletter #11 – October 2, 2022

Fall is definitely in the air. Hope everyone is enjoying General Conference. A reminder of some of the information we sent out last month.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Endowment Sessions are now back to the maximum attendee level of 92.
  2. As many of you know, appointments are no longer needed for ordinances. HOWEVER, they are highly recommended. Those with appointments will be given priority and then if there is room available in an ordinance, walk-ins may attend. We encourage you to make appointments. It will eliminate possible frustration for you as things continue to become busier at the temple.

UPCOMING EVENTS

  1. Our ward temple day is on the third Wednesday of each month. Each individual will need to make their own appointment. We suggest you make your appointment in advance to ensure that room is available at the designated session. If you cannot attend the session, we encourage you to attend an
ordinance of your choice some time during that day. The ward temple day schedule will be as follows for the rest of 2022.
    Date Endowment Session Time
    October 19 6:30 pm
    November 16 6:30 pm
    December 21 6:30 pm
Please arrive 30 minutes before the session begins.
  2. Our next ward sealing appointment will be in November. A sign-up sheet will be passed around in church as we get closer to the actual date. These have been wonderfully attended in the past. UP-DATE ON OUR WARD GOALS
 Indexing numbers are up 28% over last year. While this is a wonderful trend, there are still only a few in the ward doing indexing. Please give it a try. It is greatly beneficial for those seeking family lines.
 There has been a 10% increase in members logging into Family Search for various reasons. This is exciting.
 There has been a 35% increase in the number of names that have been submitted for temple work.
All these indicators represent an increase in our ward’s temple and family history efforts.
Thank you for being part of the Gathering of Israel. May the Lord bless you in your efforts.
