DESCRIPTION:As you all know\, the church introduced a new youth program last year. Each youth was encouraged to set 2 goals in these 4 areas: Spiritual\, Social\, Physical\, and Intellectual. Once Covid hit and we weren’t meeting anymore it became a challenge for us to touch base and follow up on goals we had set and were working on with each other in young women’s. Now that we are meeting more often and in person we hope to support you and your daughters in this program as best we can with the things we do in Young Women’s. \nTo help all of us Refocus and move forward with this amazing program we will be focusing on GOAL SETTING at our YOUTH CELEBRATION on MARCH 3rd. Each year we have this celebration in place of New Beginnings and Young Women in Excellence. This year\, we will be combining with the young men and having the youth rotate through 4 stations with speakers and activities centered on: The WHY of setting goals\, Success Stories\, Goal Ideas\, Tools to reach goals and more. We hope the youth will recognize their potential and feel God’s Love as they become more like him through this program. \nThis night will be more meaningful and successful if the youth come with personal goals in mind. We will be dropping by goal booklets for those that haven’t received one yet. Please take time to sit down with your daughter and encourage them to set 2 goals of their own in each area of development. We hope that they will come that night with 2 specific goals in mind to apply as they go through the different stations.

DESCRIPTION:In-Person Sacrament Meeting. Consistent w/the Stake Presidency’s email on July 27\, 2020\, the Elk Ridge ward will begin meeting for one (1) hour in-person sacrament meetings on September 6\, 2020 and continue to thereafter meet for one (1) hour in-person sacrament meetings on the first Sunday of each month. We will have two (2) sacrament meetings on our designated Sunday each month. \nThe times and groupings for our Ward’s sacrament meetings are as follows: \n·      9:00 a.m. – Members who do not have children living with them (empty nesters) are invited to attend this meeting or the 10:30/12:00 per their last name. \n·      10:30 a.m. — Members are invited to attend with the last names starting with letters “A-K” \n·      12:00 p.m. –Members are invited to attend with the last names starting with letters “L-Z” \nAs a reminder\, no one should attend who: (a) is not comfortable coming for any reason; (b) is sick or anyone in their family is sick\, or has the potential of having been exposed to the virus in the last 14 day; and (c) anyone who had a COVID-19 test pending. \nFor those who attend: \n· We highlight the recent council from our area presidency asking us to be good citizens and wear masks in public. This includes sacrament meeting. Masks are suggested for all who attend. Families are encouraged to come with their own mask. \n· Ward leadership is required to wear a mask to set the example. \n· Physical distancing should be observed before\, during and after the meetings and in all places including the foyers of the building \nIn advance of meeting\, we will determine safe places for you to sit in the congregation and will block off selected rows (including those nearest the pulpit). We will also adhere to all other guidelines recommended and imposed in the Stake’s July 27 email. \nPlease also note that we will be training our young men in advance of meeting so that the sacrament is administered in a sanitary and appropriate manner. \nFinally\, please remember that attendance is open to those who are comfortable under the circumstances while others should continue meeting at home even on the week of their assigned ward. In particular\, we encourage members who are in high-risk categories to consider continuing to meet at home.
