The Gables of North Logan Assisted Living and Memory Care has requested that we as a Stake provide more religious involvement for their residents. This is a wonderful opportunity! The Stake Presidency has approved a plan that will include an annual assignment to your ward. Each ward will be assigned one month a year to have the opportunity to involve individuals, families, and organizations in their ward to serve at the Gables, preferably once a week. Prior to your assigned month, we ask that your ward council be involved in planning how you would like to carry out this assignment and involve your members, using the guidelines below.
DAY: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings (Monday may be arranged if a family would like to hold FHE there). They have requested we be involved there once a week.
TIME: Between 6 and 7:30pm
LENGTH: 15-40 Minutes
ACTIVITY IDEAS: Spiritual message or lesson from approved manuals, FHE lesson, singing (they have a piano), instrumental, games, or just visiting. Be creative! The facility houses up to 16 residents, and often their family members will be there visiting and can participate also. Some games are available at the facility. Speak to Marisa Hall (contact info below) with your questions or if any ward members would like to arrange a morning or afternoon time.
PLEASE GIVE NOTICE: The Gables posts a monthly calendar for residents and their families and would like to know your plans the month prior so they can put you on the calendar. That being said, last minute plans are fine as long as they have some notice.
PLEASE REPORT BACK: Please report your activities and involvement to you High Councilman with any feedback for the Stake Council after your month is complete.
