Trust God and Just Keep Pedaling

Dear Ward Family,

As I have been asked to share a few thoughts with you, my mind has been filled with all the different and unique challenges you might be facing.  This is such an interesting time and one we will not forget. I for one, will not forget the time that I had ALL my kids home ALL day EVERYDAY for more than five weeks! We have had some pretty great days and some pretty rough days but overall I am so grateful for this time I have to spend with my little tribe.

One early evening when the sun was just starting to set and its beautiful rays were shining through our west windows, I found myself alone, in our kitchen (a rare occurrence;)).  It was so quiet and I just soaked it in for a moment.  In that moment, which was fleeting, I felt God’s love.  It was ever so short, but it was there and it was real.  He was speaking to me through the beauty of the light of the Sunset and I felt peace and Joy in my heart for that one moment.  Some days, I have to remind myself what I felt and hold onto that moment until the next one comes and I have faith that it will.

I believe that Christ is our hope and our true source for happiness.  He can be our refuge and our safety. “And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of Gof, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.” (Helaman 5:12)

I love this short little story from the Friend magazine by Sister Bonnie Oscarson. Just keep Pedaling

Let’s pedal forward together and Trust in God and His power to heal, comfort and bless us.

Much Love, Kensie Hansen
