Dear Brothers and Sisters,
By now you should have received an email from the stake regarding church services beginning in July. We will let you know when we receive additional information.
Last Sunday I had a minute between meetings and I sat in on the Bentwood Ward’s sacrament meeting. It was good for me to feel the benefits from “meeting together oft.” While there were few in attendance, the power of unity and connection in the gospel was strong. With that said, we fully sustain the stake presidency’s decision to hold off on church services and are grateful for their leadership and direction. I want you to know that those who choose to not attend Sunday services, in July, have my support. We want you to come when you feel ready and comfortable.
We look forward to the day when we can meet together again, and that it will be as joyous as Alma and the sons of Mosiah. “And it came to pass that as Alma was journeying from the land of Gideon…he met with the sons of Mosiah journeying towards the land of Zarahemla. Now these sons of Mosiah were with Alma at the time the angel first appeared unto him; therefore Alma did rejoice exceedingly to see his brethren; and what added more to his joy, they were still his brethren in the Lord; yea and they had waxed strong in the knowledge of the truth; for they were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God. But this is not all; they had given themselves to much prayer, and fasting; therefore they had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when they taught, they taught with power and authority of God.” (Alma 17:1-3) I have visited with several of you who have told me of the remarkable spiritual experiences you are having in your homes. I look forward to the day when we can once again worship together. That as Alma did, we will find each other strengthened in the Lord, having given ourselves to much prayer, fasting, and searching our scriptures diligently.
We love you. We hope for you. We pray for God’s choicest blessings to be upon you.
Love,
Bishop Allen

Reminder from the Bear River Health Department:
Lloyd Berentzen has called on citizens in the health district to take personal responsibility to halt the spread of COVID-19.
“We realize that many people are confused about what they can do to reduce the spread of COVID-19. As such, I am asking you to share one simple message with anyone you come in contact with; your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers:
“Low Risk Does Not Mean No Risk. We know we have to learn to live with this virus. How we do this will make the difference. We must take personal responsibility to be proactive to do the things we know will help limit the spread of this virus. This includes:
a. Stay home if you are sick.
b. Practice good hand hygiene including handwashing.
c. Maintain social distancing in work, social, and extended family settings, especially indoors.
d. When social distancing is not possible, wear a face covering.
“I urge you to please share these messages with as many of your friends and relatives as possible in your conversations and social media.”
